Financing
On this page: Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation, Financing at a Glance
The majority of our customers will use a financing source to help them acquire the wheelchair van they need. VCI Mobility can help in this process by connecting customers with financing companies that understand wheelchair vans and are ready to finance them. Financing options and costs will differ based on the credit of the buyer, the age and type of vehicle they are interested in purchasing, and the type of financial institution or instrument that they are using.
Do your best to make arrangements for vehicle financing as early in the process as possible!
By doing this, it will allow you to focus more attention on selecting the right vehicle and options for you, as well as enable you to move quickly when you find the right wheelchair van for you. In most cases, you can apply with a financing source and receive an approval that is valid for a 30 days time period. In most cases, this should be more than enough time.
Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF)
The Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF) is a non-profit organization that provides low-interest loans to people with disabilities and older adults so that they can buy the assistive technology devices and services they need.
Assistive technology, or “AT”, is any device that helps a person with a disability achieve a more independent and productive life. AT devices include many items; including (but not limited to):
- Adapted Vehicles
- Home Modifications (including ramps, roll-in showers, lowered counter tops)
- Scooters and Wheelchairs
- Seat lift chairs
PATF was established as a non-profit organization in 1998. Originally a spin-off from the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, PATF has grown dramatically since those early days. PATF has received funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation; the PA Department of Community and Economic Development; the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency; the U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration; numerous foundations, and from individual donations. To date, PATF has helped more than 2000 Pennsylvanians and has extended more than $19 million in loans. For more information, visit www.patf.us.
