Floorplan Options

Choosing the right floor-plan for your wheelchair van, shuttle or bus is critical to your success. Many of our customers have been refining and changing their floorplans over the years to get just the right balance of ease-of-use, ambulatory and wheelchair user entry, and open space within the vehicle in which to navigate. Within the floorplan development process, comfort, capacity and cost must all be considered.

In some applications, such as group homes and special programs, there is no “standard” floorplan, as the number of seats, wheelchair positions and other accessories varies based on an ever-changing client base unique to each program and/or home. In other applications such as non-emergency medical transportation, companies generally standardize one or two floorplans that allow them to be prepared for the majority of transport requirements.

In order to assist our clients as they address their wheelchair van and bus floorplan needs, we have put together a special website that houses the majority of the floorplans we have created over the years. The site will allow you to look at the different floorplan options by category so that you can consider all of the options available to you.

General Paratransit Floorplans

Our general paratransit vehicle floor plans are available with the following options:

  • GM or Ford chassis
  • Standard or Extended Length
  • Side or Rear Lift
  • 1 to 4 wheelchair passengers
  • Up to 11 ambulatory passengers

Our general ambulette floor plans are available with the following options:

  • GM or Ford chassis
  • Standard or Extended Length
  • Side or Rear Lift
  • 1 to 4 wheelchair passengers
  • Up to 9 ambulatory passengers

Stretcher Vans

Our general stretcher van floor plans are available with the following options:

  • GM or Ford chassis
  • Extended length only
  • Side lift only
  • 1 to 4 wheelchair passengers
  • Up to 5 ambulatory passengers
  • Includes cot mount and wheelchair rack

New York DOT Ambulettes

Our NY DOT ambulette floor plans are available with the following options:

  • GM or Ford chassis
  • Standard or Extended length
  • Rear or Side lift
  • 1 to 4 wheelchair passengers
  • Up to 10 ambulatory passengers
  • Includes HVAC and wheelchair rack

Shuttle Vans

Our shuttle van floor plans are available with the following options:

  • GM or Ford chassis
  • Standard or Extended length
  • Up to 14 ambulatory passengers
  • Options: HVAC, lowered entry step, manual bus door
