YMCA of the Brandywine Valley – West Chester PA Branch
The YMCA of the Brandywine Valley – West Chester PA Branch is shining a spotlight on adapted sports* with their Second Sundays at the Y program.
On the second Sunday of each month, people of all ages, with any physical disability (whether they are beginners or seasoned athletes), are encouraged to come out to play and have fun! On Sunday, April 10, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., the focus will be on soccer. Other events planned for future “Second Sundays” are golf, cycling, tennis, and basketball.
All Second Sunday events are FREE, and Y membership is not required for participation. For more information, please visit the YMCA website.

2011 American Occupational Therapy Association Conference & Expo

The Philadelphia Convention Center will be the site of the 2011 American Occupational Therapy Association Conference & Expo. Occupational therapy leaders, practitioners, educators, researchers, and students from across the country will meet to discuss current advances in the field of occupational therapy, as well as look ahead to the future. VCI Mobility will be on hand to display a wheelchair van and answer any questions the event attendees may have regarding accessible transportation.
2011 Southeastern Pennsylvania Pediatric Special Needs Trade Show

Bayada Nurses, a national home health agency with pediatric home care offices in Philadelphia, Willow Grove, and Paoli, is sponsoring a Southeastern Pennsylvania Pediatric Special Needs Trade Show designed for those who have and care for children with developmental and physical disabilities. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 27 from 11:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue. Admission is FREE. Complimentary continuing-education programs will be available for healthcare professionals. In addition, there will be presentations for families, plus a panel of parents who will exchange information and share what they’ve learned about caring for their own children. The younger attendees can even enjoy the Kids Fun Zone. VCI Mobility will be on hand as a sponsor of the event to share information on the variety of mobility products and services we have to offer.
