The Viewpoint Mobility accessible VW Routan is a rear-entry vehicle that combines the convenience of wheelchair accessibility with a high-quality, German-engineered minivan.
The Viewpoint Routan offers a lowered floor that extends from the rear bumper towards the front of the minivan. The width is 31”, the length is 88”, and the height at the wheelchair seating position is 57.5”. The Routan boasts an aluminum, non-slip, wide, bi-fold ramp.
In addition, the Routan offers comfortable second-row ambulatory seating using VW Routan seats (7- or 8-passenger) or a variety of aftermarket options to increase the width between the seats. The Routan also can be made available with a third-row flip-up, two-person bench. The modification is fully CMVSS certified and has scored well in crash testing.
The ElDorado Amerivan accessible VW Routan is a side-entry vehicle featuring a sturdy aluminum power fold-out ramp with a dependable motor drive for effortless, push-button operation. The door, ramp, and kneeling are all actuated with the simple touch of a button. Inside, Q-Straint tie-downs provide great security and value. Wide passenger-side and driver-side sliding doors offer convenient, easy access for all. Amerivan conversions feature lowered rear seats and front seats that can easily be removed.
