How Often Should I Have My Mobility Equipment Serviced?

Performance ReminderAt VCI Mobility, we always stress the importance of regularly servicing your mobility equipment in order to maintain its safe, reliable operation. You may be asking yourself, though, exactly what services need to be done and at what intervals?

VCI Mobility recommends the following:

Lowered-Floor Minivans and Full-Size Vans

  • Maintenance Check after the first 30 days or 100 cycles
  • Every 6 months (bi-annual) Maintenance Check after that

Hand Controls

  • Maintenance Check after the first 30 days
  • Annual Maintenance Check every year after that

EMC Driving Controls and Secondary Controls

  • Maintenance Check after the first 30 days
  • Every 6 months (bi-annual) Maintenance Check after that

Left Foot Gas Pedals/Pedal Extenders

  • Annual Maintenance Check

Transfer Seats

  • Annual Maintenance Check

I would like to buy pedal extenders because I am short and sit very close to the wheel. Do you have them and do you install them.
If you do not have them should I just purchase them online and then you would install them?
