Viewpoint Mobility has taken the approach of building an inexpensive and very simple conversion on the Honda Odyssey, called the Vision. To do this conversion, Viewpoint Mobility chose to build a rear-entry wheelchair-van conversion. The rear-entry style requires less conversion effort and has less effect on other original Honda equipment. Viewpoint also chose to use a manual or non-power door operator and remote control integration. The final product results in a lower price to the consumer when purchasing the van and also simplifies future maintenance and repair. In the end, Viewpoint has produced a Honda option that will appeal to budget-conscious consumers for whom a rear-entry wheelchair van is a viable option.
