In addition, with its 5-star rating for front- and side-impact tests, the Honda Odyssey minivan is typically in high demand among wheelchair-van buyers. At VCI Mobility, we offer both Vantage Mobility International (VMI) and Viewpoint Mobility accessible conversion for the Honda Odyssey. Vantage Mobility International offers very complete and user-friendly Honda Odyssey wheelchair van options. The VMI Honda Odyssey wheelchair van is available in both the Summit format (a side-entry vehicle with a fold-up wheelchair ramp) and the Northstar format (a side-entry vehicle with an in-floor wheelchair ramp). The Summit and the Northstar conversions both come standard with an automatic power ramp and doors, an integrated factory remote control, and a host of other features. All of these features, combined with an impeccable “fit and finish” make for an aftermarket wheelchair-van conversion that seems as if it came straight from the original factory. The Summit and the Northstar conversions both have many loyal devotees.

Viewpoint Mobility provides a low-cost, manual rear-entry Honda Odyssey wheelchair van.

Vision by ViewPoint MobilityViewpoint Mobility has taken the approach of building an inexpensive and very simple conversion on the Honda Odyssey, called the Vision. To do this conversion, Viewpoint Mobility chose to build a rear-entry wheelchair-van conversion. The rear-entry style requires less conversion effort and has less effect on other original Honda equipment. Viewpoint also chose to use a manual or non-power door operator and remote control integration. The final product results in a lower price to the consumer when purchasing the van and also simplifies future maintenance and repair. In the end, Viewpoint has produced a Honda option that will appeal to budget-conscious consumers for whom a rear-entry wheelchair van is a viable option.

At VCI Mobility, we offer both the VMI and the Viewpoint Honda Odyssey conversions. For more information on these vehicles, please contact us. To learn more about rear-entry versus side-entry option, click here.
