Be Sure to Maintain the Tires on Your Wheelchair Van

Bridgestone Insignia TiresOur tires are critical to the safety and performance of our vehicles, yet most of us rarely pay them the attention that they require. Unfortunately, we miss signs of pending trouble and opportunities to avoid it.

Underinflated tires are often the root causes of premature or uneven tire wear. The overheating of the tires that results can cause tires to blow out. We recommend that you check your tire pressure at least monthly and, if your car is equipped with a tire-pressure monitoring system, respond immediately to any warnings. Regular tire rotation is also critical to the performance and maintenance of your tires.

On a regular basis, you should carefully look at each of your tires to see if treads are wearing unevenly. You should also check the sidewalls for any cracking or bulging. If you are not sure what you are looking at, VCI Mobility and/or any service garage should be able to do a quick inspection for you.

The Bridgestone Insignia SE200 steel-belted radial is an all-season tire developed for the drivers of family sedans and minivans. The Bridgestone Insignia SE200 was designed to provide long wear and year-round traction, even in light snow.

The Bridgestone Insignia SE200 molds an all-season compound into a symmetric tread design featuring notched tread blocks to grip dry, wet, and lightly snow-covered roads. The tire’s internal structure features twin steel belts to stabilize the tread area and a polyester cord body to help cushion the ride.
